Students add OSHA, CPR, and First Aid training plus HVAC Excellence Employment Readiness certifications in four areas, and every student completes an internship before graduating.
Safety Village, a neighborhood of six real houses, is where students install complete HVAC systems. A Temperature Control Lab simulates indoor and outdoor temperatures, and the new Building Technology Center holds furnaces, heat pumps, icemakers, rooftop units, and commercial chillers. The school lists the summer industry internship as a program highlight and says it often leads directly to employment.
